What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is a structured and evidence-based approach that focuses on improving socially significant behaviors. This therapy is commonly used to support individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by targeting skills such as communication, social interactions, and daily living activities. ABA therapy involves breaking down complex skills into smaller, achievable steps, and using positive reinforcement to encourage the development of desired behaviors. Technicians collect data to track progress and make data-driven decisions to tailor interventions to the individual's specific needs. ABA therapy is highly individualized, aiming to enhance the quality of life for individuals while promoting independence and reducing challenging behaviors.
